Jekyll and Hyde the Musical

JEKYLL & HYDE: THE MUSICAL brings new life to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story of the epic battle between good and evil, as imagined by acclaimed composer Frank Wildhorn and writer/lyricist Leslie Bricusse. David Hasselhoff made his Broadway debut in the dual title role, bringing his performing talent off the television screen (Knight Rider, Baywatch) to the musical theatre stage. JEKYLL & HYDE is the longest-running show in the history of Broadway's Plymouth Theatre, with more than 1500 performances over nearly four years. The show won a legion of repeat visitors, dubbed by the press as "Jekkies", with some hardcore fans having seen the show hundreds of times. Performers as diverse as The Moody Blues, Liza Minelli and Johnny Mathis have recorded songs from the show, including "Someone Like You", "This Is The Moment" and "Once Upon A Dream." Captured in brilliant high definition, perfect for the big screen.

Utah Home Staging Works When You “Deep Six” Personality

Pro Home Staging Removes Personality from the Picture

Staging a local Utah  home for sale may not be rocket science — but doing it well does require a marketer’s ability to step outside yourself to picture what will most appeal to potential buyers. Our first instinct is to set up our home exactly as we like to see it, but that’s not how the professional stagers do it.

When you think of the way a model home looks, you begin to get the picture: they are always pleasantly neutral. Sort of boring, actually. Always. It must work!

Once you’ve listed your  home, there are some very common home staging pitfalls to avoid. First and foremost, as much as possible, pack up your personality and stow it in with the cartons of kid stuff you’re clearing away. Simply assume that prospective buyers won’t love the piles of Oprah magazines in the living room — or the kids’ art projects in the den.

And it’s almost always unnecessary to undertake huge renovations. Home staging is not synonymous with redecorating. Often, sweeping renovations wind up being a money-throw that’s never returned. In home staging as in most activities you undertake in selling your home, consult with your Realtor® partner: it’s often the case that simply lowering your asking price even part of the amount you would have spent will get the job done – and faster!

This fall, as you do a first walk-through to consider your home staging approach, start by opening all curtains and blinds. The reason? Home staging is most successful when the rooms are filled with light. If potential buyers walk in the door and see a dark or dimly lit room, that’s a house that looks far less appealing – especially as we go through the Daylight Savings months. So throw the blinds open, turn all the lights on, and you’ll see what your prospects will be seeing.

Taking the prospects’ view is what home staging is all about. And when you are looking for an agent to help get you there, I’m ready to put a plan to work for you!

Why Using a Realtor® in Your Local Town is the Popular Choice

A Realtor® in Your Local Area Does Much More Than Finding a House

As the economy continues to improve and more buyers commit to joining (or rejoining) the ranks of our area’s homeowners, access to reliable advice can be a vital difference-maker. If you’ve never worked with a Realtor® in your local town before, it’s important to understand the benefits they bring to the table — benefits that cause 84% of successful homebuyers to state that they would work with their Realtor again in the future.

Understanding Your Buying Power

A Realtor in town is trained to help clients determine just how much house they can comfortably afford, avoiding a later ‘too much house’ situation. In some instances, their negotiating skills can be key in bringing properties that have been on the market for a while down to a doable price-point.

Protecting Your Interests and Investment

Having a local Realtor on your team during the buying process doesn’t just make everything easier — it acts to ensure that your interests are protected. A member of the National Association of Realtors is fully qualified to help you at every step of the pre-closing process, from finding the right type of property and getting the proper inspections done through the back-and-forth of negotiating with the seller or his agent. Buyers who have teamed with a licensed Realtor are protected -- they know that they have a qualified professional serving their own interests and protecting their investment throughout the purchasing process, come what may!

Invaluable Help at Closing
Closing on a house can be a daunting prospect for an unassisted buyer. With a Realtor in town in your corner, you have an experienced expert always on call to answer questions, help gather documents, and communicate with the seller’s agent. Many of those grateful past clients know that it can even take months to close. Having an experienced guide can make smooth sailing out of the most trying of circumstances.

From finding you the perfect home, to smoothing the way through the closing process, a member of the National Association of Realtors makes buying a home significantly less stressful.
