Fall is for planting, so say Andy Pulte and Susan Hamilton with the
University of Tennessee Department of Plant Sciences and the UT Gardens.
The well-known gardening experts say enthusiasts should take advantage
of the season’s great weather to plan and plant for next year’s
landscape.
“There is a lot of nice weather left to get out and garden. However,
October is typically the driest month in Tennessee, so be sure to keep
your garden watered,” cautions Pulte.
